2. Description of Service
RhymePlug is a free online rhyming dictionary that provides perfect rhymes, near rhymes, multisyllabic rhymes, synonyms, and cultural references for creative writers including musicians, rappers, poets, songwriters, and students. The service is provided as-is at no cost.
3. Use of the Service
You may use RhymePlug for personal, educational, and commercial creative purposes including songwriting, poetry, academic work, and content creation. You may not use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from RhymePlug beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt file. You may not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service.
4. User Submissions
RhymePlug allows users to submit cultural references and slang terms for inclusion in our database. By submitting content, you grant RhymePlug a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of the service. Submissions are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission at our discretion.
5. Data and Content Licensing
The RhymePlug cultural references database, rhyme scoring algorithms, and curated content are proprietary. Dictionary word data is sourced from the CMU Pronunciation Dictionary (public domain) and other publicly available linguistic resources. Rhyme results generated by the service may be freely used in your creative work without attribution. The cultural references database itself may not be reproduced, redistributed, or resold in bulk form.
6. Privacy
RhymePlug does not require account creation and does not collect personal information. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to collect anonymous usage data including page views and performance metrics. No personally identifiable information is stored or shared. Search queries are not logged or associated with individual users.
7. Intellectual Property
The RhymePlug name, logo, and brand are the property of RhymePlug. All original content, algorithms, and curated databases are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party trademarks, brand names, and cultural references included in our database are the property of their respective owners and are included for reference purposes only.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
RhymePlug is provided as-is without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that rhyme results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
9. Limitation of Liability
RhymePlug and its creators shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Advertising
RhymePlug may display advertisements to support the free operation of the service. We strive to keep advertising minimal and non-intrusive. Ad content is served by third-party providers and does not reflect endorsement by RhymePlug. We do not share personal data with advertisers. Ad blockers are permitted and will not affect your access to RhymePlug features.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of RhymePlug after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
